Q:  I have read the Artist Release Form and I have a concern about granting a blanket release for permission to use my image for future printings. What is included in other future printings? A:  Future printings would all be in the same format as the original calendar the permission was granted for.  The initial printing would test the waters of the market.  If we find it favorable, additional printings would be scheduled.

Q:  I read your request, visited your website, but see nowhere the payment I would receive for giving rights to use my art. A:  All our participating artists are doing so without monetary compensation.  My hopes for the calendar was two-fold, to bring funds to needy organizations and to bring the art (and participating artist) to a public that would not normally be aware of their existence.

Q:  Who finances the printing and distribution of the calendars? A:  The cost of the calendar printing and distribution will be covered from the gross sales earnings. With the initial upfront output being loaned by myself and my husband.

Q:  Do any part of the sales profits return directly to the participating artists? A:  No, this is a joint venture in a philanthropic project.

Q:  What organizations will benefit and who chooses these? A:  The organizations I will choose will initially be local, here in Bellingham, WA.  Should sales go as I hope, we will expand the area.

I also plan to make the calendar available to groups as a fundraiser.

Q:  I am a commercial artist and don't usually give away rights to my images. A:  As the artist you would retain copyright of your image.  The permission you grant is for this calendar only.  Should we decide to print another style of calendar you would be contacted for your permission to participate in that printing.  The choice to continue would always be yours.

Q:  Will you need a high resolution jpeg? A:  Yes.  To provide the quality image on the calendar that I desire, a high resolution file will be requested.

Q:  Will you be producing printed calendars or online calendars? A:  The calendars will be in printed form, to beautifully display the art it contains.

Q:  How many calendars will be printed and distributed and over what time period? A: The initial printing will test the waters of the market, should it be favorable we will continue printing until the market no longer shows this to be desirable.

Q:  I didn't see anywhere on your website the organizations that have received funds. A.  The project is in its infancy, the first stage, inviting the artists to participate.  Since the funds that will be used to make the donations have not yet been earned, there are no organizations that have received donated funds.

Please visit the Envision page. It has links to websites, if available, to give  the participating artists the opportunity to see for themselves the types of groups that we hope to help meet fundraising goals.

Q:  Will I receive a copy of the calendar? A:  Yes,  the participating artists will receive 3 complimentary calendars with the opportunity to purchase more at below wholesale cost.
Q:  When do you expect to publish the calendar? A:  Our time frame depends completely on securing the 12 images required to take a calendar to print.
Q:  Where did you hear of my work? A:  Currently I visit galleries on the internet.   Unfortunately as I cruise the web visiting galleries I often link from one site to another to another etc. so I am unable to tell you how I got to your site.
