Hello, In order for me to give you an accurate description of what
Carlina is I will need to give you a bit of background about myself.
I am 50 years old, married 31 years to my highschool sweetheart, and I
have 4 children - 3 sons, 23, 21, and 10, and one daughter 20. I
have been self-employed for nearly 19 years, working with my husband in
a home based business. I am the office, he is the technician.

Although it pays for a comfortable life it does not fulfill the need to
be creative so I involve myself elsewhere for that. In November of 2004 I was volunteering for a non-profit group, involved in the fund-raising as it seems these groups are forever low on funds. As we were finishing up a wine-tasting (that was a lot of work for far to few funds) I shook my head and thought there must be a better way. As I began to give this thought, my creative self took the lead with something my business self saw as a marketable item to gain funds to donate to the needy but very fine groups and causes. And so the idea was born. |

Carlina Calendars brings together artists from around the world with a
collection of images in a themed calendar. Currently the project
is a Precious Days Wall Reminder that can be used to remind us of important dates
year after year. The artists image, Image information, and website address will appear on the calendar, on the Carlina Calendars website and the Carlina Calendars Artist Site. Portions of the proceeds will be used to create more projects. The profits will go to organizations in the community to help them reach fund raising goals. A detailed page will be dedicated to the organizations that will be the benefactors of the projects. This page will go up as the project progresses. |

Shelby is a student of business and joins us as a part-time
researcher and marketing strategist. Her interest and understanding of
the project will benefit Carlina as she takes the position of Director
of Donations.
Shelby will conduct research, through websites and personal visits, of groups and organizations that could benefit as benefactors of the project. Her findings will be published on the website.
